Underground storm water storage tanks are becoming increasingly important as Water Authorities often recommend that new developments have their own storage water tank systems.
Here at Wells we have been both designing and manufacturing these systems for nearly 50 years.
The increased run-off of surface water from large developments, car parks etc. can be many times the capacity of existing sewers and water courses. An outlet water management system is essential and the Well-Void Extra Plus culvert stormwater storage tank system offers the simplest, most versatile and most cost effective solution to the problem. Any design configuration can be accommodated including manholes, inlets, outlets, end plates, elbows and flanged tube connectors. All pre-fabrication is undertaken in our factory for simple on-site installation
Up to 2.2m diameter
Lightweight-High strength
Well-Void tanks can normally be fabricated and delivered within a few weeks.
Unique jointing system
Considerable material cost savings Due to the reinforcing effect of the 4-ply lockseam.

Description
Well-Void Type FR tendon sheathing is a unique range of small diameter corrugated tubing.
Well-Void sheathing can also be supplied in a range of flat-oval sizes for applications with grouting space restrictions.
A choice of external coupling sleeves are available:-
Screw couplers
Engage over the corrugation helix. Generally 300mm long.
Push couplers
Provide a central swage stop to ensure an even joint. Generally 100mm long.
Both couplers require on-site grout sealing.
Well-Void Type FR tendon sheathing is suitable for pre-stressed concrete bridges, floors etc., and is also used in cut-lengths as dowel pocket formers in pre-cast concrete structures.
The sheathing can also be delivered pre-bent to most desired radius or curvature. Also available are standard grout saddles and gaskets, grout hose and heat shrink sleeve seals.
Well-Void Type FR is available from 40mm – 125mm
Well-Void Flat Oval is available from 50mm x 25mm up to 160mm x 80mm, but any sizes between these measurements can be achieved on request.
Well-Void sheathing is manufactured from standard 0.4mm or 0.5mm steel making Well-Void far stronger than other alternatives with up to 100% more steel.
The roll formed external corrugations increase rigidity and ensure a first class bond to concrete.
The extra strength makes it less susceptible in transit and site damage.
Allows greater unsupported spans to be made saving support materials and reducing fixing time.

A choice of external and internal coupling sleeves are available and are used to connect two tubes together. Wells has also independently designed a reducing coupler which enables various diameter of tubes to be joined.
Screw couplers
Engage over the corrugation helix. Generally 300mm long.
Push couplers
Provide a central swage stop to ensure an even joint. Generally 100mm long.
Both couplers require on-site grout sealing.
The Screw coupler is placed on the outside of the tube and is screwed on.
The Push coupler is placed on the inside of the tube and provides a good push in fit.
Enabling you to connect two tubes together.
Quick and easy to fit.
Versatile.
Neat finish.
High strength-low cost.
